NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 28, 2005--Universal Express, Inc. (OTCBB: USXP) Universal Express' Logistical Subsidiary announced the early results of its new consolidation shipping rate program being offered initially to couriers in their Courier Association.
'Freight and shipping sales have risen 400% in the second week of our newly consolidated shipping rates and then a 1200% increase in week three,' said Cecilia Vesnesky, Universal Express Logistics Director.
'As the program of shipping rates is now being systematically introduced to the postal and courier association locations we expect the programs to continue growing although it is still too early to speculate a 800% increase weekly,' said Frank Sclafani, Sales Director of Universal Express Logistics.
'This type of announcement offers both optimism and concerns. With combined quarterly sales of over 1 Billion dollars, the couriers and postal stores will be systematically introduced to our discounted rates, because logistically we want to be assured of our technological efficiency. As we grow these revenues, we obviously want to 'show' these additional shipping revenues on future reports, and we seek the stability such sales improvements would bring. We've waited years to grow these relationships. We require steady growth but wish the division to be motivated by efficiency rather than sales goals,' said Richard A.
